There are so many Bible studies available online.

As I listen to these lessons and as I read the comments I am struck by the fact that what is unique about these messages is that people are actually saved!

I was initially drawn to this site because of the majestic Bible origin series which represents unequivocally the most important New Testament scholarship of this century.

The knowledge of Greek is impressive and exact.

Now additional lessons have been presented with teaching of the bematos. The presentation is clear and simple and, yet again, the Greek knowledge is exact and the presentation is absolutely correct.

Anyone who knows Greek will attest that this interpretation of the bematos is perfectly in line with what the texts say.

The Bematos lessons cleared up so much misinformation and garbage I have carried for years.

The lessons are so beautifully and graciously presented.

They have the ring of truth and authority.

So why am I not surprised that, as soon as these podcasts were published there was a massive push back of people defending their position that God will punish us.

These messages of impending judgment upon believers totally contradicts the Bible.

Their sermons are totally DEAD.

The "Bematos" studies are two of the finest lessons produced by this ministry -- keeping in mind that each of these lessons are wonderful.

If we misunderstand the Bematos we misunderstand everything about our lives as Christians.

If we have a true understanding - as presented clearly and without doubt - everything else will be right.

I am amazed at the reaction of my unbelieving friends who are enthralled.

These Christian Bible studies are a marvel.

I have so learned so much about Jesus of Nazareth.

You are absolutely correct about inheritances.

They are not obtained by merit or by good works.

Even in the physical realm, in order to receive an inheritance, one must be born into a family with a wealthy ancestor, who dies, having named you in his will.

The analogy is obvious.

We were born again as sons and daughters of God. Our wealthy ancestor Jesus died as our substitute and named us in His will (testament).
---------------------------------------
Thank you very much. I figured inheriting something would have something to do with someone dying first.

Which also makes perfect sense with vs 24.

"Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have CRUCIFIED the flesh with its passions and desires."

We are partakers with all that Jesus is and has. Including his death, burial, and resurrection.

Thanks again!

I have enjoyed these studies for a few months and greatly enjoy them.

The description of the Bematos is exciting and I hope to be able to participate.

I am learning much from these lessons, specifically about Yeshua.

Oh my dear, I listened to the "Bematos":

The Blessing Place of Christ

and was amazed.

As I listen I learn of Jesus who abolished my sin and incredibly -- becomes my friend and never judges me.

I had never heard of the Bematos or judgment seat per se but I shared the opinion of most that every person will face a day of judgment.

These lessons present a very different picture.

My understanding is that Jesus can serve as a substitute for those who are associated with Him.

I am working through the issue.

Thank you for the messages which are actually enjoyable.

One more question Johnny,

I was just wondering what your take on Galatians 5:19-21 was concerning inheriting the kingdom of God. I figure verse 24 wraps up what Paul meant.

The word inherit (v.21) from Tufts dictates "to be an inheritor or heir".
In context he spoke previously in 4:30 of two covenants and "the son of the bondwoman shall not be "heir" with the freewoman."

So it must be contrast and compare, I conclude by law you cannot inherit anything, its only by grace (gospel).
Rom 8:9 pretty much declares where we are in Christ.

So since he's speaking to a church full of mixture I assume hes saying that we cannot inherit anything by works. You don't technically inherit something by works anyway.

I have lost friends, family and all support.

The loss is worth it as I have trusted in Jesus as my savior.

Now I have peace for the first time.

Thank you friends for the fascinating and enlightening studies from the Christian writings.

The lessons concerning the lack of judgment for believers contradicts everything I have ever been taught.

However this teaching is, without a doubt, expressed in your writings.

I sense real truth here and I am working through these lessons to seek reconciliation.

It looks like Col 1:23 (I have the NKJV) from those corrections should actually read...

"since" indeed you "remain" "trusting", grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard,
which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

And more good news: The word translated "If" is actually "Since" So not only is it true that our continued faith in Jesus makes us holy, it is also true that the faith we have will continue on - by God's decree!

Implementing these changes, Colossians 1:22-23 would read:

22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—

23 since you continue {i.e., you continue to abide} in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the certainty held out in the gospel {i.e., the good news of Jesus Christ}.

Johnny Tatum,

I appreciate your response and your studies in the Lord, "Tufts" has also helped me out tremendously which you mentioned in times past.

That word "if" in the passage I also questioned, I was just not sure about it as well. I knew something was off, thanks for the clarity on that.
