Every believer has Holy Spirit: Walk according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:4) |
Learning to appropriate that Water so Holy Spirit will be leading. |
Appropriating that Water so Holy Spirit is leading most of the time. |
Continually appropriating that Water so Holy Spirit is leading ALL of the time. |

Knows he is forgiven. Knows his Father and is reliant on Him. Is self-centered and concerned about daily activities. Wants help from Holy Spirit, but cannot understand why it does not work the way his flesh wants it. |
Learns about the nature of the struggles of life, including the kingdom of darkness and the real enemy, Satan. Is strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might; therefore, he lets God fight his battles. Desires to explore the riches of Messiah Jesus in the Bible. Is learning, growing, and maturing. |
Has one focus: to know God, which is the only basis for spiritual growth. Knows God as a Person, and their relationship is dynamic (two-way). Has been through personal struggles and difficulties of life over time. Controls his intake of the word of God. |
Gives Up! Never sins or responds out of his flesh. Never gets distracted by the things of this world. Always recognizes God's presence in his life. Is in constant fellowship with the Father. |

As the regenerated individual does progressively less, Holy Spirit does progressively more. Consider the following examples of the Degrees of Appropriating that Water: |

Moses Objects to God's Call (Exodus 4:1-17) |
Moses Encounters Pharaoh (Exodus 5:1-7) |
Moses Prays: Let me know Your ways that I may know You. (Exodus 33:13) |
Only one Person lived a perfect life: Messiah Jesus, the God-man, who said, I do all things at the impulse of My Father.Note: At the end of the age, this will include redeemed humanity. |

Note:
Importantly, the emphasis for the regenerate should be to know Am I growing? It is not to know At which level am I?
