Canaan life: Abundance and rest



Exodus 3:8 I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey

Joshua 1:13 Joshua said, "Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, 'The LORD your God gives you rest, and will give you this land.'”

Deuteronomy 33:28 So Israel dwells in security in a land of grain and new wine;
His heavens also drop down dew.

Leviticus 26:4-7 I will give you rains in their season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit. Indeed, your threshing will last for you until grape gathering, and grape gathering will last until sowing time. You will thus eat your food to the full and live securely in your land.

I will also grant peace in the land, so that you may lie down with no one making you tremble. I will also eliminate harmful beasts from the land, and no sword will pass through your land.


Numbers 13:23 Then they came to the valley of Eshcol and from there cut down a branch with a single cluster of grapes; and they carried it on a pole between two men, with some of the pomegranates and the figs.

Numbers 13:27 Thus they told him, and said, "We went in to the land where you sent us; and it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.
